CSK Batting:

This year IPL2022 started with a No ball and a free hit. KKR won the toss and the elected to bowl. Rithuraj and Conway opened the bat for CSK.

CSK Top Order and art of collapse:

Rithuraj did not make use it and gone out for scoring none for 4 balls. He seemed very disturbed and he could not meet the ball. That pattern continue and gave a simple catch to slip (Nitesh Rana) in Umesh Yadav ball.

Robin Uthappa joined Conway, we can see the ball swinging. But Umesh could not find the rhythm and ended up giving a lot of extras in the first over. Shivam Mavi too joined the party and stared to swing the ball. Robin started to score with a beautiful boundary and a fantastic six.

Summary of CSK Batting:

Overall it is not the start that CSK wanted. The top oder collapsed like a pile of card. And the middle order did not give the expected result. Dhoni came in as a saviour and added 50 runs to the overall score. Can his Knock be useful? Will Jadeja led team can at least shine with the ball? Rahane and venkatesh Iyer started good with their bat. Especially Rahane seems to be in good touch. They are getting boundaries in right time and Iyer plays with confidence. We can clearly see CSK is struggling a bit in the bowling without Deepak Chahar.

Summary of KKR Batting

Like any other chase KKR followed the pattern, even after wickets falling the runs flowed in. What important is KKR batsmen did not struggle at any point.

Overall Summary:

KKR registered their first win. It was fairly an easy win. Their blowing paid off and their batting complimented. CSK had a bad batting day, and not a great bowling performance. But this is just the first game. KKR will have a happy sleep and CSK has some changes to make and bounce back soon.
